📃 Article - Why You Should Write
Author: David Perell

Here's what I learned from reading this article:
A consistent writing practice is the best way to improve your writing skills. More writing can lead to better opportunities.
As a writer, you should become a keen observer of the world around you consider everyday experiences or insights that other people ignore
If you want to learn about a topic, write an article about it and publish it on your website. Use stories and personal anecdotes to put your own spin on your writing

🔨 Remove Bg
Remove BG is a free tool that removes the background from images.
This is particularly handy for creating profile photos where the background is a solid color.
🔨 User Inyerface
This website takes design principles, UX patterns, and throws them out the window.
A great example of terrible UX!
🎨 2 Design Tips
Avoid very thick page dividers
Page dividers or horizontal rules should be visible but subtle.
They are functional elements of a design but shouldn't take priority over the text content.
Avoid very thick page dividers or this will distract from the content on screen.
Share the size of your audience
Don't be afraid to share the size of your audience to encourage sign-ups.
With newsletter sign-ups for example, say how many others are currently subscribed.
This builds credibility.
📃 1 New Article I Wrote
Design A Website From Scratch In 7 Steps
In this week's article, I took inspiration from a recent thread I wrote and expanded it into a full article.
It's all about how you can design a website from scratch in 7 steps.
My aim was to demystify the web design process and make it less intimidating to get started.
