If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know I’ve been building a website for a local animal charity. This website went live last week and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
It’s been so successful there’s the potential for some referral business from it so I may have a few more website projects to add to my list!
I’ve been taking my website-building side hustle more seriously in the last month with the hopes of turning it into a proper side hustle business. This project taught me a lot and I hope to apply that knowledge to my next website 😀

When you have a well-established old design system, think of it like a big house that’s been built, renovated, and maintained by many hands over the years. Everything was built for a reason but as the house evolves, the structure isn’t able to support what it’s being used for.
A mental model for thinking about a high-quality product. It’s made up of layers like a pyramid - at the bottom is fundamental UX, the middle is visual design, and the top is polish.
It’s ok to ship things that aren’t perfect at first. Don’t fear failure, embrace it and learn from it.

Society puts pressure on us to specialize and to niche down. This doesn't work for multipotentialites who enjoy lots of different interests as opposed to just one.
You are your niche. Your niche is made up of your talents, passions, and experiences all blended together.
