Error Message Guidelines

The article in 3 ideas:

  1. If a user makes a mistake i.e. an error occurs, they should get feedback on-screen informing them of this.

  2. Error messages should visually stand out on the screen. Try to use a different color to the rest of your color palette.

  3. Don't use terminology that blames the user for making a mistake. Be polite in tone.
